Bridal Transformation 2023
Modern Beachy bride
Earlier in March, I participated in a local design competition hosted by From this Day Forward. I received a gently used 80’s wedding gown and transformed her into a modern beachy bride. Contestants could create anything they wanted I love weddings and all things bridal, so I took it upon myself to breathe new life into this beautifully dated gown and still retain almost all of the original exterior fabric.
First things first, set her up and worked my magic! The puffy sleeves and giant bow had to go! lol. All in all I had a great time gained inspiration for my own dress and received 3rd place in the Professional category :)

When she asked me to construct her gown with natural materials, I was over the moon happy to help grant her wish. Designing for fellow artists is something I really enjoy! Custom wearable art is so personal and intimate, and this dress is straight out of the fae world. One spectator commented that She looked like an Elven Queen in her wedding gown alongside her husband.

Courtney’s dress is constructed with natural cotton fibers, hand sewn buttons, loops, a sweet tie back & pockets to store essentials!
I also love that she wanted her dress to be versatile~ in that she can wear it multiple times for any given occasion.

January 2021 WEdding Gown for Melanie <3
Melanie’s gown is a re-fashioned 1920’s wedding dress. I utilized only the lace for the bottom half of the dress, hand stitched & appliqued embroidered fabric to the surface. The liner mimics diamond shape cut silhouettes- much like the backside of the dress with chevron designs.
